La Sorbonne. Research explored the manner in which influencers and brands work together to tell stories about luxury skincare products, by analyzing how they exchange semiotic representations and brand motifs to create meaning in digital spaces.
Master’s in Research thesis and doctoral project, “Felt Untouched: Consumers, Identities, and Digitally Material Garments."
La Sorbonne. Through interviews with art directors, fashion photographers, and other professionals, this work conceptualizes digital images of clothing as singular, “digitally material” objects that are intentionally designed for use in a virtual world; and which offer unique affordances and constraints for consumer identity performances.

Master’s thesis, "Still a Material World: Instagram, Identity, and the Digital Fashion Image."
La Sorbonne. This work explores the social affordances of physical clothing and materials for performing consumer identity in digital spaces: on Instagram, a variety of participants were found to consciously use their physical garments to make visible aspects of their identities in a “platform legible” way.
